The Paris attacks - A message of hope
It is difficult but necessary to talk to children of things which are challenging and have no easy explanation.
What does it mean to live together….to be accepting, trusting and adaptable?
Today Year 6 explored togetherness using the movement of birds flocking as our inspiration. We worked in pairs and then in ever increasing groups until we were all moving as one unit…..Everyone had their own individuality and personality but experienced the beauty and power of being united, moving effortlessly together, adapting, shifting , accepting, offering, leading and following.
Together we embodied a meaningful sense of community, of togetherness and trust.
Back in the classroom we translated our experiences into the making of paper birds to be shared amongst our friends to remind us that we are indeed better together.
