Our Heritage Lottery “ Woman Made” project is well under way.

It was a delight to work with girls from Year 4 Amble First School who are sharing their views on culture, participation and of course demonstrations of how to “floss” – the dance not the dental procedure!

The sessions with these dynamic young people are full of laughter and thoughtful reflection about how we share our ideas and creative pursuits and how these have changed over time. Who or what inspires and influences us, and how does being creative make us feel?

The past was made very present with the revelation that Helen Anderson, herself a pioneer in participatory Arts, "looks just like Lady Gaga".
